Tuesday Hodge Podge

• Nolan Richardson won’t be coaching the ASU Indians Red Wolves. That’s disappointing.

• Jeff Long says the Hogs will likely continue to refuse to play in-state schools. That’s also disappointing.

• Done deal: the Hogs and Texas A&M Aggies will renew their football rivalry with an annual match-up in The House that Jerry Built. That’s not disappointing. (The series starts in October 2009.)

• Oh, the irony … what if John Pelphrey’s former team keeps his current team out of the field of 65? Well, that would be very, very disappointing.

John,
I know this is off topic but I too am a Rocket. Did you see where they won the state championship in basketball? Never, thought to see it in my lifetime!! You guys should do a story on that (I know its a razorback blog, but damn, who’d a thunk it)

I’ve got it on good authority that a Nolan to ASU deal was all but done until Nolan insisted that Nolan “I carry loaded hand guns to practice” III would replace him and it all fell through. This came from a former ASU player who got it from someone in the know.

Hogfan - I hadn’t seen that, but that’s very cool news about our alma mater. And surprising…the bball team wasn’t much of a power when I was there.

If I can somehow figure out how to turn a 24 hour day into a 36 hour one maybe I’ll start a Rocket Expats blog!

Thanks for reading-
John

Hogcaller,

Very interesting. If indeed that’s the case, sounds like ASU make the correct call.
