Let’s not forget, it’s still a “Heath era” team. As Pelphrey said after the game, “If you care about Razorback basketball history, the chance to go three and 0 in the SEC for the first time in eleven years should be enough to get you fired up.” Right. If a single one of these players says after the game “They just wanted it more” I’d make him run line drills until he pukes.

You either want it or you don’t. Bring on Pelphrey’s boys. This group will surely lose Saturday at Athens, wind up a predictable 9-7 or 10-6, and lose in the first or second round. If they make the dance. Not a given, based on the suckinesss of the SEC this year.

This was the game that showed this Hogs team for what it is — loser. Too much Heath acceptance of mediocrity; too many bricks; too little heart. They still don’t get it. _Every_ game is important. 21% from the three-point line, 68% from the free throw line. At home. Pitiful.

If they prove me wrong I’ll be happy. But I doubt it.

Not a good game, and I agree with Stephen, but, J. Hawg 3, wasn’t that a little harsh?
(And, I DO hope not a harsh reality!!).

I hope it’s harsh. And I hope I’m wrong. But let’s face facts: we barely beat a pitiful Auburn team at their place, barely beat an inspired but inferior Bama team at our place, and lost to a woeful South Carolina team in our own gym. This was a game we should have won by 20, and in any event _had_ to win. The SEC will be lucky to get five bids. Right now, we are not even number six.

Sorry, but when the game ends and I watch Georgia Tech and North Carolina play toe-to-toe _real_ hoops, I can’t help but see how far away this team is from a team that can compete with the best in the country. For cryin out loud, Georgia Tech is what? 9 and 7? That team would beat us like baby seals and they’re 0-3 in the ACC.

Maybe Pel can turn them. Maybe. But I have watched inept ball handling, pitiful shooting, defensive lapses, and a total inability to live up to potential for four very long years.

They need harsh. If I was Pelphrey, I would at least threaten to bench every single senior, Weems included, and get ready for next year.

I hope I’m wrong, Cousin Lee, I really do. But, wow. The Heathiness of losing at home to a weaker team has me swooning.

Problem is, they ARE living up to potential.
