The Hogs showed that they just might have the makings of a good team, although they still have a ways to go. But they managed to win on the road without bringing their A game, albeit against an injury-depleted Auburn. Beverly continues to impress and Weems is riding a hot hand (and actually taking good shots). If his confidence remains high, that is good news. I was screaming at the TV for Pelphrey to take Ervin out of the game. He might be the best we have at point guard, but he continues to show he does not understand how to play the position. I was disappointed that Britt did not get more playing time (only two minutes). Thomas and Townes are getting a little better at kicking the ball back out when they are triple-teamed.

The bottom line was that it was a game we were expected to win but under Heath that all too often did not happen.

I do not doubt his effort or attitude as some do, but if GE is the best we have, we are in real trouble down the line. Hopefully JP can figure a better way to hide GE and SH on the offensive end.

Gary Ervin isn't the best point guard in college basketball but he's not the horror some of our fans make him out to be.

He needs to be on the court because he is our best player at that position.
