I have to say, I am usually pumped for a new years day bowl game when my hogs are playing. I remember waking up with bloody mary's in college to watch Oklahoma beat us 10-3 because Matt Jones had a TD called back. The game was still exciting even though we lost. But I wasn't even that excited about this years due to the stress of the regular season and then the coaching search (I think it was the message boards that stressed me out and listening to everyone's "inside source". I told myself I would never be one of those idiots.) I just didn't care. It appeared as if our football team felt the same way. No passion, no heart. They looked like they just wanted to get started on next season. Bring on the Pelphrey bandwagon!! I am ready to hop on!!

Excellent analysis! Sad to say, I think the game was lost when the field goal was missed at the end of the first drive. Nutt teams just have this weird ability to snowball mistakes once a first one is made early in a game. I am pretty confident that will continue - BUT at Ole Miss, thank goodness! What we saw in the last two games was Nutt and his staff of coaches in a nutshell. The very big high of the LSU win and the nadir that was the Cotton Bowl performance. Consistently good is not something you associate with with now, Colonel Nutt.

You basically summed up my thoughts as I sat there in the freezing cold watching that horrible game. I guess that is what you get when you allow a team to be coached by men who will be coaching elsewhere next year. Unfortunately, we have seen DMac's last game as a Razorback. Hopefully, we have seen Dick's last game as a Razorback starter!
