More on the football and basketball Hogs later, but for now I just wanted to say that this Thursday I will be giving thanks for Louisiana-Monroe. Actually, “schadenfreude” is probably a more appropriate term than “thankful,” but you get the point. I guess $4 million doesn’t go as far as it used to.

Weird. I’d never heard the term “schadenfreude” before a few days ago, when I watched The Rivalry documentary on HBO about Ohio State-Michigan. An old Michigan player used it in describing how he felt (and still feels) about beating the Buckeyes 30 years ago.
